CAS votes on portability of waiting periods for health plans on Wednesday
The Social Affairs Committee (CAS) meets on Wednesday (8), at 9 a.m., with ten items on the agenda, including the bill that guarantees consumers the right to switch health plans while carrying over the waiting period already served under the previous plan. Bill (PL) 4,261/2021 makes explicit the consumer’s ability to switch health plans and operators by requesting portability of waiting periods, regardless of whether the new plan is cheaper or more expensive, with greater or lesser coverage.
