ANS approves exceptional regulatory measures in Minas Gerais
Among the approved measures is an extension, by 10 business days, of the deadline for operators to respond to complaints registered with ANS through the Preliminary Intermediation Notice (NIP). The extension applies only to cases that were already in “awaiting operator response” status on February 24, 2026, the date of the calamity decree, or after that date.
The deadline for health plan operators to voluntarily resolve cases in the remediation phase was also extended by another 10 business days; this is the stage at which the reported failure can be corrected and the imposition of a penalty avoided. Unlike the response to the NIP, which consists of the operator’s formal statement on the complaint, the voluntary remediation phase requires the effective resolution of the problem presented by the beneficiary.
Information Standardization Committee organizes its 2026 planning
The first subject addressed was the monitoring of data submission and the versions of the Information Exchange Standard in Supplementary Health (TISS) between health plan operators and health service providers.
Next, the committee’s Reports were presented, highlighting the release of the results of the Hospital Quality Monitoring Program (PM-Qualiss Hospitalar) and the presentation by the Data and Information Protection Advisory Office (APDI), coordinated by Celina Ferro, who stressed the importance of the area’s activities in the international context, strengthening the TISS Standard.
