THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the exercise of the authority conferred by Article 84, caput, item XXV, of the Constitution, and in view of the provisions of Article 10 of Law No. 9,986 of July 18, 2000, hereby DESIGNATES:
CARLA DE FIGUEIREDO SOARES, civil servant of the Agência Nacional de Saúde Suplementar – ANS, to compose the substitution list of the Board of Directors of that agency, as first substitute.
FRANCISCO JOSÉ D'ÂNGELO PINTO, civil servant of the Agência Nacional de Saúde Suplementar – ANS, to compose the substitution list of the Board of Directors of that agency, as second substitute.

LAW NO. 15,492 OF SEPTEMBER 2, 2026
Establishes the National Policy for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Tourette Syndrome.

Analysis: Article 5 reinforces the prohibition on refusing enrollment in a health plan for reasons related to Tourette syndrome, in line with Article 14 of Law No. 9,656/1998. The law does not directly amend the ANS List of Health Procedures and Events (Rol) nor create stand-alone mandatory coverage for all the treatments mentioned. The rules on coverage, waiting periods and temporary partial coverage remain subject to Law No. 9,656/1998 and to ANS regulation. It is nevertheless recommended to review marketing, eligibility and customer service procedures in order to prevent discriminatory practices.

Submits to public comment the Conitec recommendation on the incorporation into SUS of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring in patients with epilepsy undergoing resection surgery of an epileptogenic focus. Deadline: 20 days counted from publication, which occurred on Sep 3, 2026.
